Spend Christmas in the snow

This is pretty tough for me, who stays in Singapore, a country without winter.
I am going to spend a nice holiday with a man I love, when i get married and all.
Snow and snuggling in front of the fireplace. And a real fir tree. :)

Okay, it was just after xmas, so im still happy :) x

In Kansas, snow was plentiful. I was lucky to have several snow storms and a white Christmas.

The Christmas we lived in Germany, it started snowing on Christmas Eve and snowed all through Christmas.

It was marvelous. Incredible. Wonderful. Amazing.

For a southern girl who grew up in a combination of the American southland (hot) and the Pacific Northwest (rainy), snow is such a novelty.

People keep trying to tell me that it’s going to get old and that I would hate it and so on and so forth. I just cannot see that happening. I love it. I love the cold. I love the nip. I love the wet. I love the melting snow soaking wet shoes. I love the chilled extremities. I LOVED the twinkling lights in the snow.

That was a magical Christmas.

I am from Florida. I don’t like snow. Last Christmas I went up north, way up north. It was cold and snow is wet. I used to live in Honolulu, I lived about five years there as a kid. I never knew it got cold until I moved to Florida in mid winter. It was the winter of 89, the worst one Florida ever had! I just don’t care for snow not at all, or ice.

I live in a small new england town , its wonderful and very pretty here at Christmas time ! Getting the kids together to make fried snow balls ! lol Putting snow balls in a frying pan . letting them melt and evaporate ! cool trick for the kids but it only fools them once ! Walking after Christmas dinner with the sunsetting usually pink and purple . and at night the snow sparkles like a million diamonds ! I hope all that want to do this and havent get a chance too ! One day maybe I will spend Christmas under a palm tree !

Lots and lots of rain. I give up for 2005. Not for 2006 when i should be in NYC…with lots of snow and rockefeller center and central park and….

But if there is no snow on Xmas, which is the reality of the situation..it is supposed to rain and its about 50 degrees, sooo, if it snows it will be super strange.
However, if no snow by Christmas, I’m taking the goal off the list, until december next year. no point in wasting space on my goal list…

Expected tonight. But no precip expected. However…It may surprise me. I just hope it doesn’t rain and freeze….I can;t drive in that…

Until Christmas, but I’ll say its warm and sunny out today, a bit chilly, btu I think it isn’t going to happen at all…
