I’ve been wresting with the iMovie ‘11 learning curve. I’ve managed to negotiate a truce between it and my old JVC camera footage. I’ve now made videos of each of the three phrases of Ferra’s AHS mare performance test. I’ve also made videos of both of Penelepe’s dressage tests at her first schooling show. The most fun thing has been choosing the music. The least fun has been trying to master iMovie’s interface and video organization. I’ve picked up the “Missing Manual” and “Teach Yourself Visually.” the Missing Manual is much more in depth, but dry as dust with less than helpful graphics. Think it’s going to be more useful as a reference manual. 2 years ago

I think I’ve got the camera sorted, but iMovie is going to take some time to master. Guess I’ll need to go through the how to book I bought step by step. And use a tripod for filming. I’m not exactly a human Stedicam.
I hope video editing will be like photo editing: steep learning curve, then all the programs work pretty much the same. 2 years ago
