go figure.
B & B’s are good if you like to meet and interact with other people. Otherwise stick to the hotels.

Happy Phantom is just relaxing
Most of the time when I travel, I like to stay in B & Bs. The owners are always so very helpful. The food is typically outrageous. And it is often cheaper than a hotel if you’re not into antiques and fancy 4 poster beds.
I love doing my research online before I choose a place. Pictures sometimes can say 1,000 words.
Kimberly is feeling overloaded and busy.
I have stayed at two Bed & Breakfasts, and both experiences were fantastic. Each had a friendly staff, great food, and a warm atmosphere. Both of them were in Mendocino, CA and they were the most relaxing trips of my life.
Sometimes, I dream of owning one…
lilliputtigerlily is settling in the Denver area.
my hubby and i stayed in a bed & breakfast in the city where we got married, the night of our wedding. then we stayed in another bed & breakfast in kauai, hawaii, on our honeymoon. enjoyed the first bed & breakfast. the one in kauai was the bomb. it was such a superb treat! not sure when we’ll be able to afford staying there again soon, though.
When b & b’s are good (most of the time) they are VERY VERY good. When they are bad they are horrid.
You can tell a lot by the vibe you get on the phone. You want warm, friendly, enthusiastic but professional, and able to give clear answers without hemming and hawing.
ocean but even a mountain retreat would be nice. I just want to stay in one and experience the luxury and sophistication that a B&B has to offer.
