I have been to a casino and lost about £5 to £10 in a matter of seconds. I am glad that I am not addicted to gambling at Casinos.

okay, so i don’t gamble. never have, never will. my life is full of enough disappointments already! but for some reason, i love the thrill of the casino atmosphere…
...at least, i think i do. i’ve never been to one, but i love the thought of looking at all those sharp-dressed men and women sitting around life-changing amounts of money. do they know each other secretly? are they signalling to each other? did she just wink to that man?! what does that mean?! what conversations are they having? are they counting cards? do they have a ‘how to cheat the dealer’ book in their coat pocket? are they addicted? how often do they come here?
it enthralls me, and i love that feeling. i’m not saying i’m going to trek all the way to las vegas (although i wouldn’t mind that!), but i want to expericence the casino scene up-close one day.
I’ve been wanting to try out a casino since I’ve moved here a year ago. Gambling isn’t legal in TN, so when I moved to WA. . .the fact that so many casinos are around was intriguing. I spent about 13 hours at a casino last Wednesday for work. We were shooting a video for the Casino’s “Employee of the Year” banquet, and it was really cool. I got to talk to a lot of the employees, and got to go behind the scenes into the kitchen areas, conference rooms, and administrative buildings. It was such a great experience, and so inspiring hearing everyone talk about how much they appreciate their co-workers, that I’m convinced to go back. The Casino floor pretty much looks like the grown up version of an arcade. I’m planning on spending about $10 to play slots. If I win money, cool. If not. . . well, I didn’t go over what I planned on spending for entertainment. I’d spend $10 easily at any arcade, so I don’t think $10 is too much to gamble if I have the mentality of “it’s just for fun” and I’m not EXPECTING something in return.
It was in Lima, at the casino in the Marriott building, in Nov 2007 and I lost my 25 soles even though I’d made some gains. It was fun but it’s a dangerous game.
howboutno yeah for new year!
went last night to the Hard Rock Smeinole Casino in tampa…signed up for the Platers Club and got a free $40…ended up making over $200 but i didn’t cash out one time and ended up walking away with only $60…but i figure i still made more than when i walked in…hopefully going again tomorrow to see if i can make some extra money…REALLY LUCKY last night…
I went to a Casino. I lost $15 in the first five minutes because I had absolutly no idea what I was doing. But I went to Motor City Casino one day and went to Greektown a few days later. The second time I lost all tmy money. The first time I lost it all and won it all back. It’s fun to do every once in awhile.

so depressing.
Mere is getting reflective
But just not my kind of thing to do. I would much rather read a book and If I wanted to be social, do something where people did meaningful things that did not involve pressing a button constantly, pulling a lever constantly or just plain looking miserable, antsy and desperate.
Oh, I did lose every bit of money I had planned to use ($100). In fact, greed and maybe even the thing that had happened to everyone else caught me. I went over my budget and used up another $25..
End of the day, would I do it again? Don’t think so.. Somehow the whole atmosphere was not like I had imagined it to be (movies- they never tell it as it really is).
