If it were not for multiple family members and a great many things going our way, we would have never gotten in 11 years ago. If you can get in, get in, but whew . . . .

that sounds scary, huh? But I think that will be the only way that I will be able to afford my own place in SF! I totally want a house in this beautiful city, but the houses are so costly and so dilapidated at times. Once I get a house I won’t be able to renovate or furnish the darned thing! And I can’t even hope to find a fully detached home! sigh Portland, here I come!!

Having our second child soon, and a one-bedroom just doesn’t cut it. We want to stay in the city, not move to the suburbs. Kids can share a room for a few years. BB thinks we definitely need a parking space, but I’m not sure. Who knows? Having 2 kids will probably be a world of difference from just having the one (Benjamin).
