Mentoring Plus trains people to mentor young people who have been in trouble with the police. Mentors are matched with a young person and meets them about once a week for a year. This is all about being an independent adult that the young person can talk to about issues in their lives. It feels really good to have a positive impact on the life of someone who is in danger of taking the wrong path. Oh, and it’s also about having fun.

Signed up for some projects locally. Web and administrative work for missions teams at a local church. We’ll see how it all turns out.

I got accepted by InterConnection. The coordinator says he’s trying to find an organization whose needs are matched with my skillset. It looks like a form letter, but I’m excited anyway. I get to make a website for charitable organization. W00tNess. I’ll keep you all updated on the details.

Okay, I just turned in an application for Interconnection ... waiting on their acceptance and a decent project.

It’s a network of volunteer web developers who create websites for non-profits in foreign countries. Along with helphing this goal out, It may also help me; learn french or spanish, as well as help me get proficient with inkscape as I go.
