use my video camera more

I have to. I shot a lot of footage when I went to New Orleans and I have someone editing the footage for me. They want more to create a cohesive piece, so it’s off to use the video camera again. Apparently, I’m shooting ‘B-Roll’ footage. I have no idea what that means, I think it’s filler.

I used the video camera a lot on my vacation to Key West and actually downloaded it on my computer. Wow, the footage really sucked, but it’s a start.

I just came back from New Orleans and Biloxi, looking at the devastation caused by the hurricanes. I used my video camera the whole time. I can’t wait to edit the footage!!! It was an incredible experience, if you get a chance GO and see what the hell is going on down there, or I guess I should say what’s not going on down there…

I have some friends that have 3 new kittens. I shot footage of them this weekend. A filming professional was there and gave me some amateur shooting tips. Good start!

of my mom’s cats this morning and literally was at the end of the tape. I rewound the tape, only blue, rewound more, only blue screen. So I fittled with the tape for 20 minutes and didn’t shoot any footage. All part of the process I assume…

but I also started to charge it.

I think I’ve used my video camera more since I created this goal than I have since we purchased the dang thing. It’s well worth doing and keeping up with!

I got the video camera out last night and videoed my baby and 2 year old daughter. My 2 year old is such a ham! She started dancing around and saying “I like to move it move it… I like to move it move it.”
I’m so glad I got that on video!
