SeekngPassion25 is letting life flow...control does nothing but drive you insane!
Ok so your parents tell you if you dont have the money then dont purchase it or at least my mother always told me that…So now at 25 Im paying for things (and dumb things I might add) that I did or didnt do when I was younger. So finally, Im at the point where Im paying rent on time and utilities or at least I have the last few months, lets see if this continues…and then maybe well get that damn credit fixed…Oh and college if you know you dont want to be there then dont waste the time or money!!! Im paying for a degree that I dont have or need, LOL. Go figure…

Paying bills is one of them…
I am currently trying to find an acquaintance to help me make sure things get paid in a timely manner.
My credit score is 709 but I’d like it to be better.

I really need to grow up and start doing this…rather than having my phone disconnected every other month…Not starting off on the best foot this month, considering I can’t afford to pay rent yet!

Habits habits.

It’s not that I don’t do this, but I need to be more responsible about it. Just one or two late charges add up, and if it’s a utility bill that’s late (and paid for 3-ways in my apt.) it’s me that pays the late fee because I’m the one who writes the checks for the bills. How I was given this lovely responsibility each month in my house I’m not sure, but its just the way it is now so whatever.
Problem is, I have OCD and very specific places where I put bills, paid bills, other important documents, etc, and when they are moved out of those places I tend to forget about them completely! I then find the bill, unpaid, nine days after due and go GODDAMNITTTTT.
Maybe I need to shell out the cash and buy iLife (or steal it from a savvy friend…) so I can have a chart/spreadsheet of what expenses I have and what day they are due each month. When it comes to technology, I tend to buy things as they need replacing so the thought of purchases like software and the like generally makes me cringe out of impending necessity.
I should be used to that by now!

Going well !

I did it this time ! I paid all my bills on time ! I am still too close to the due date to be comfortable, though. What I wish to do is to program them or pay them as soon as I get them.
But if I keep it up for two years, I’ll get the hang of it for life, so I still have to work hard to get into the habit.
Yeh!

But that’s what happens when I forget to pay my bills. Each time I tell myself that I have to sit down and do it, the procrastinating monster lurks out of nowhere and gets me!
I need to find organization tricks to pay those bills. I make automatic payments whenever I can. For all the rest, I haven’t found the trick.

I added all the bills I owe monthly to a bookmarked tab on my computer. So now my phone bill, car payment bill, insurance and phone bill can all be payed with just a click of the mouse. Plus, they’re all organized in one place. Now just to keep up with all the dates that they’re due.

Last month I think I did pretty well. I might not have been on time with some of them, but they are all paid up for the month. Hooray. Now my goal is to get them all paid within 3 days of recieving the bill.

I finally signed up for my bank’s online banking, and it’s made things a lot easier. It also makes me more concious of what I’m spending because I know how much I need to have and I have less of choice in sending less money for things like my credit card bill, because I have it set to automatically pay more than the minimum payment each month.
