finish learning how to play moonlight sonata on the piano

I’m thinking seriously about taking piano lessons again. It’s been many years but I know it will be like a language I learned as a child. It will come back to me quickly. It will be hard at first but I’d love to be able to play with the skill I had as a teenager.

When I first heard this song, I knew it was my first step to fame! My mom knows how to play and I hear her everyday thinking: “Wow! If i knew how to play that I wouldn’t stop! Just think at school this would be a HIT!”

i got a new piano for christmas and i don’t even know hot to play it :( its so sad.

After hearing this, had to play it. I cant read music so its going to be just repetitive hearing and playing untill i get it right. Upon searching for videos of this done, i’ve come across someone playing a nintendo song on the piano. That was it..now im obsessed with playing these pieces. Although i still do work on Beethovens Sonata, i can play the first 20 seconds thouroughly.

It’s so relaxing.

It is, however, going to take me forever to learn. I am so terrible at reading the music that as I pick out the notes, I commit them to memory. So when all is said and done, I will know how to play it by heart. :P

Yes I’ve done it.
It took almost no time at all.
That’s because I’ve been gifted musically.

Continue. Once you can play it, you will often. And you’ll love what your fingers have made :D

I got my piano back, and man, has it been a long time since I played. Given that I was a beginner anyway, I’m really back to square one with this piece. It’s going to take a while, but I’m trying to play for at least a few minutes every day while I painstakingly pick out the notes again since I can’t really read music. This is going to be a challenge! But I can’t wait to mark this “done”!

The scene in “Immortal Beloved,” where Beethoven plays this is my favorite. That is actually Gary Oldman playing it too. I’ve got the music. I need to take the time to sit down and learn it.

The ex-boy is moving, so he’s going to give me my piano back instead of lugging it up all the stairs at his new place. I can’t even remember the last time I played, so I will be starting over from nearly the beginning, but I am looking forward to practicing “Moonlight Sonata” again. What a beautiful piece of music! It’s the whole reason I wanted to take piano lessons in the first place.
