How I did it: I joined a gym, eventually got a trainer, and attempted to stick to it. I'm not perfect or anywhere near where I want to be. However I'm not going to give up. Read how I did it…
Ikkaii is chillin' in the summer breeze
How I did it: I just flat-out kept MAKING myself.I started with walking 2 miles a day, and now, 3 months later, I'm running 3 miles 5 days a week!I'm much more lean and toned now.5'8, 130 pounds. :)I feel much less stressed, even when I don't feel like exercising, after a workout, the stress is gone and I feel SO good. angee_76 is taking charge, clearing out the mess!
How I did it: Well, at first itwas just a matter of 'walking around the building,' not impressive. Even my ankles hurt. But I slowly kept going until I was going around the building and it got boring, Then i started exploring the neighborhood. Then it was a matter of not wanting to come back to the office, so I would walk farther and farther! Now its such a habit, that I make up excuses in order to go for a quick walk (hey everyone else gets to smoke!!) Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well I was always active in sports in high school, until I got pregnant. My world started revolving around my son and I kept making excuses not to work out. It wasn't until I started working out again that I realized how much I missed feeling empowered by exercise. I had been depressed and realized how much I missed working out and how good it makes me feel. I picked a start date after I got my BMI results at the S… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Ive been saying how I wanted to get a gym membership for a few months but kept blowing it off. When I got reduced schedule at school I figured Id have more time to spend on it so on my first day of reduced schedule I went and got a gym membership. I also started walking my dog about a mile every few days. It makes me feel so much better about myself and when I work out I automatically eat healthier too. Read how I did it…

we have a gym in our school. i’ll see what i can do with that
- Do some jump rope everyday. It burns soooo many calories!
- Do the ten minute jump rope routine (as seen on sparkpeople.com, twice this week.
- Go for two walks
- Go for one hike
- Additionally…
- Makes some new play lists to listen to while exercising.
- Look up more swing dancing moves(esp. Charleston Stroll)
I finally did 7 days of exercise in a row. :-) Everyday I did a combination of jump rope and exercise bike (except for today). I also went for several walk during the week and a big walk today of 90 minutes (lots of hills).
advantages so far
- more energy (especially when i feel like napping during the day)
- feel happier
- gives me time to escape family :-p
- gives me time to listen to new music on my mp3 player.
- I’m slowly getting more fit.
I tried out a couple more moves (oblique elbow taps, alternating bridge, quadruped, etc.) today. I’m going to combine them into an actual workout by picking my favorites/the most intense ones. But mostly, I just danced today and yesterday. Not for long enough to be considered a workout but long enough to make make my abdomen cramp during it.

I took two “mental health” days but I’m back on it.
My routine is:
30 minutes on treadmill
1 mile on bike
Swim for as long as possible (usually at least 30 minutes but sometimes as long as an hour and half)
Now I want to get up to 1 hour on the treadmill and 3 miles on the bike, and then swim. That’s my goal. Also I need to start doing crunches again.

I really need to do this. Problem at the moment is I get confused about what is good for my back and what is not.
Doing abs is good, i was convinced of that, but now i read on the internet that it can actually hurt your back.
How am i supposed to stay motivated!!??
