I put in a dim (energy-saving) bulb in the bathroom recently. Today I walked in and closed my eyes before I turned the light on, see. Then when I turned the light on… I could not tell if it worked or not! I felt as if I were actually walking around in the dark! It was scary & neat at the same time!

We were in a big truck & we didn’t even see this big piece of styrofoam in the middle of the road & ran over it. It barely even dented it!
I snagged it & now it’s sitting in my garage wiating for me to turn it into a nice airplane! (Or get it out of the way)
(Or I could make a Halloween grave stone!)

Never did this before.
Tried it for about 4 minutes, then gave up.
Tried it again on different table for a few minutes before success!
Sometimes it takes minutes, and sometimes just a few seconds.
I figured it might be because of small indentations in the table, so I tried it on an inverted plate (slightly off it’s center to minimize the risk of there being a tiny “center hole”).
I took a couple of picts; if you’ve got good photographic image scanning software, maybe you can clean-up & zoom-in on the reflection off the egg & read the “Official U.S. time snapshot” – so I’ve proven that it’s “not just” the Vernal Equinox that this works on.
(P.S. I did it again…

I recently heard that NASA, (I think it was NASA), won’t hire someone unless they’ve spent time MAKING things (with their hands).
Seems that tinkering is important to learning how things work, &/or making a hand-mind connection.

Found some thrown-away tall ornamental grass; about 8-feet tall.
Fairly thick stuff.
I’m gonna bundle it up to a nice straight dowel rod and let them dry. Then I’ll figure a way to put a nice little practice tip on them (maybe dip them in concrete a few times) and teach myself & the kids to throw with an atlatl!
Edit: Okay now they’re dry. Too dry. But at least they’re mostly straight. Too brittle to throw hard. But can maybe practice throwing straight for now; get used to it. It’s not a natural grip. 20 months ago

Dang! If I’d’ve thought of adding in a regular mirror I could’ve used a magnifying glass as well. [I just wasn’t think Fourth-Dimensionally]
Anyway, we had a decent sun to work with. It took about ten minutes to burn through the side of the dang thing (supplied fuse was a bust).
Then the dang dog went after it like it was something to be torn apart!
Success!
