go on an Earthwatch expedition

i have received word from the ‘rents (who maintain quite firmly their grasp on my life) and i’m going to St. Croix in June (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

hooray for me

i’ll be researching leatherback turtles and monitering tagged turtles at night i.e. tracking by foot… miles over sand each night… no breaks… i’m gonna die…

but i’m still excited

I have just spent the weekend on an Earthwatch Discovery weekend at Kangaroo Island, South Australia.

I know its a cliche but the weekend was totally life changing. I am making a plan to enable me to leave my job next year so I can take contract roles and spend more time doing the things I am really passionate about.

I am already planning when I can next get back to KI.

I have also committed to myself that I will go on an 2 week earthwatch trip next year. At this stage, I would like to stick to an Australian project .. most likely the project in my home state of victoria where there is a project on mammals in the forests of East Gippsland.

my dream expedition is one that invovles mammals and taking a trip to africa or a remote forest somewhere.
i just visited the site for the umpteenth time and have compiled a list of all the expeditions i want to go on. (to get the list i am referring to, first go to ”>Expedition Search” then click the button that says “Show All Expeditions”)
i really really really want to go on numbers:

oy! how am i ever going to find all that money?!
