"I danced right at front in a ballet show, infront of the princess of Thailand!"

How I did it: I was in this ballet school for around 6 years, I was one of the best in my class and i loved my teacher, Khu Gayh. one day my mum got a form asking if i wanted to be in a big show infront of aprox. 350 people? and my mum of course answered yes. I had no idea about this untill I went to class's and my teacher seemed quite strict about this routine. At the end of class I asked my maid (almost my half mother...she is like a sister to my mum she worked with us for nearly 20 years) why was this routine so special and she told me about the preformance. I was shocked. All my class where really tense and everyone had to give their best. Our last practice was with everyone in the preformance. we all practiced for around 5 hours and the head of the ballet school was there, Mr. Sam. 
On the day of our preformance (we showed it for 3 days) I hated it because we had to arrive 12 HOUR's early! we had to all just sit there in a GIANT room and just do nothing!! There was no air-con so it was crazy hot (even more hotter with our make up and giant custumes on) plus there was over 1,000 dancers there. but when it was time to preform everyone loved it! it was great fun and denfinatly somthing I'll make sure my children will experience!  

Lessons & tips:

  • Go to a dance school where you know for a fact they put on shows
  • JUST HAVE FUN! you never know it might come as a unexpected suprise!

How I did it: I dance since I was 5 years old. That makes 9 years now :) So my first appearance on stage was when I was 6 years old. It wasn't scary or anything because I was just a kid and the dancing back then was really simple steps. Now I dance on stage I would say twice a month or even more often and we travel a lot because we dance folk dance. So I'm really used to the feeling now. Only difference is that I have to wear folk clothing and the spot… Read how I did it…

    Well i have researched 3 classes at the local lesuire centre, not quite on stage, but a step in the right direction lol, no pun intended…. you never know it could lead to better things, plus the exercise will be fantastic.

    if ANYONE in CARDIFF knows of any good dance places that is decently priced, drop me a blog.

    Not worth it for ME because I get terrible stage fright. Actually, part of the reason I signed up for it was to step out of my comfort zone and do stuff that scares me. But I get so nervous it’s just mascochistic of me to voluntarily perform anything in public.
    I was shaking so bad I was afraid of stumbling. Then I skipped a whole chunk of the dance and didn’t know what to do while the others caught up. It was awful.
    Saturday went much better, but still nerve-wracking!

    I danced for thirteen-fourteen years of my life. Each of those with recitals
    each year on stage, and with about 7 years of competitive dancing as well. Lots of different stages!

    But I won’t say that it was all easy, I did completely freeze up one time during a competition solo and stood there blank in front of about 300 people for what seemed like an ETERNITY before remembering what I was supposed to be doing.

    Just get out there and do your best, it’s the culmination of all that endless practicing, right? :D
