spend less, save more

I managed to De-code my CD player for my new car which saved me £100 as per quoted..
So I saved that – By researching the topic and doing abit of DIY.

Woo hoo, Now its music maestro..

Today I put myself to the challenge, We’ll I withdrawed £10 and managed to send off my eBay items, Bring some items for myself (and my car) and still feel satisfied..
But It did make me think :) THINK BEFORE YOU BUY…

Since I quit my job, this has become a lot easier. Working in a mall is a bitch on the bank account. haha. I’m sure it’s also that I don’t have any income that’s made me more inclined not to spend money. Also, the fact that my friend Caroline moved away, hence not going out every single night…
Even still, I want my job back!

I really spent a lot last month. Now I have to save more to put in my saving account for January and February. Plus, I have to save some money to keep myself when my internship program end and I want to buy a digital camera and pay a little trip in July. Would I wanting so much than I can? Let’s see!

After the holiday times, I’m trying to save more to have what I didn’t save in December. I’m going pretty well with this. I can enjoy my weekends and buy little by little the things I’m needing and still have my saving account growing.
Last week, the weekly magazine I read make a article about how to invest money in 2009, including tips to small accounts. My boss gave me some tips too. Both sources have the same option about what I should do now I have a considered amount and still don’t want any risks. I’m searching more information about this option and I think I will get a meeting with me bank manager next week.
(Who see me talking these things could think I’m really full of money. It’s just a little, but I’m trying to take care of it to someday it can be bigger :D)

Well, I have already some money saved. Now I have to decide how I will invest it. My bank manager give me some suggestions and I have to take a time to search about them and decide what’s the best to me.

Here is a tip that you can do if you are like me and can’t resist buying a hot beverage! Instead of paying 4 bucks for some fancy coffee drink that is full of calories bring your own tea bag and ask for just a cup of hot water! Its only 20 cents!!

Today you woke up and checked your bank account. 4 days ago you had 300 dollars for first 15 days of November, now you only have 53 dollars. WHAT HAPPENED???? This isn’t the first time you’ve felt robbed, the truth is, you are only robbing yourself. You’re not ashamed to say that you get allowance from your parents still, what you are ashamed of is the fact that you spend all your money on weed, beer, music and nights that you can’t remember. You have all this money and you have nothing to show for it, and you need to wake up and realize that mommy and daddy won’t pay for everything anymore. You are still young, and you need to step up and take responsibility and respect yourself more.

I still have some plans to my money (searching for a great photo camera and a great place to stay at Morro de São Paulo). But I decided I have to move to my saving account 25% of everything I earned in the last months and make my plans based in what will be in my current account after that.
This month, I will save 25% of what I earn from april to september. Next month, it will be october and november. And in december, it will be from december and from the job I had last year. After that, in 2009, I can save I will earn each month.
This money will be to my long-term plans and I have to put there and don’t think about it anytime, in any situation (I hope don’t have a really emergency, of course).
Good feeling are on me doing this! :)

I have to transfer part of my money to my saving account. I feel I have to save some money to when this internship program end I feel my work was worthy. The money has to be far from my eyes, I have to forget it exists for a while. I think I’m going great about this issue. I haven’t been speding more them the necessary, but, of course, I have been speding a lot with necessary things in this first months (I have to buy nice clothes to work and to get organized with my time). Now the bills are stopping to come, I don’t have anything from my trip to São Paulo. I’m saving more and thinking about the good things I can do with this money. Now I’m so happy for pay to get my driver’s license. To a far future, I’m saving for buy an apartment after I graduate (and find a “real” job, of course). For a near future, I want to travel to Morro de São Paulo (a great beach in Bahia) with my boyfriend and to São Paulo (that huge great city) again with my little brothers as their 15th birthday (but with this last one, probably my father will help with th air tickets – I hope!). I’m thinking about buy my own digital camera, but I’m not sure about it yet.
