listen to a book on tape

Since I started listening to Audio Books 7 days ago, I’ve listened to or am in the midst of finishing the following:

1. The Geometry of Sisters
2. A Day Late and a Dollar Short
3. God’s Behaving Badly
4. The 10th gift
5. The Last Suppers

A bonus of listening to audio books is that you can get through them more quickly than reading one.

I finished this audio book today. It was good enough to listen to the whole thing. The other one I started, “A Day Late and a Dollar Short”, I got about an hour into and am deciding not to finish listening to it. It’s not my cup of tea.

The Geometry of Sisters was a heartwarming tale about how the bond of love can be bruised by death and lies but still hold strong.

My first audio book… done! Woo! I’m glad I have it a try. I would listen to it while I got ready and while I went on my power walks. Audio Book: useful!

I signed up for my local library’s Summer Reading Program. The idea is to read a book, fill out a little summary form about it and then hand it in. At the end of the summer, all the summary forms end up in a drawing for prizes.

I decided to read a few books on tape. Well, I’m going to start with two. Their titles are in the subject line. The last time I tried this, I kept falling asleep. I blamed it on the concept of audio books, but I think it may have just been the book or the reader.

I look forward to doing this.

I like doing this, especially when I’ve already read the book. Sometimes the way the reader reads it, accentuates certain words, inflects give the story new meaning! Audio books are also nice because sometimes I just feel like being read to and its nice to listen to a story.

Great for road trips. My husband and I don’t like to listen to the same type of things on the radio however, we have similar literature taste so listening to a book on tape was very enjoyable for us.
