How to elect Barack Obama president
It made me
Awed. Thrilled.
 "If enough people want something, and they have the right leadership, it can happen."
How I did it: I grew up in a household of conservative Southern segregationists. I remember deciding that I didn't agree, and that I didn't want that for my children. Apparently a lot of other Americans decided something similar -- how else could this country have changed enough for tonight to happen? Amazing -- and thrilling! -- that we were able to see that this remarkable leader, drawing on his experience as a mixed-race man, drawing on many other experiences in his life, was truly the leader our country needs at this time. Lessons & tips: Never despair!

Wow! I can’t believe I forgot to come in and check this off my list. I am so incredibly excited to have a president we can be proud of. I know President Obama can’t just wave a wand and make everything better immediately but I trust that he is the best hope we have.

I voted, talked to other people about the vote, went to a rally, ad anytime I heard people with misconceptions about Obama I tried to help clear it up. Now I’m about to be rewarded with a smart, thoughtful leader who seeks to understand problems and find intelligent solutions. Now we start the work of pulling together as a country to fix the trouble we’re in.
