Once I realized I’d rather have water out of a glass or make myself iced tea, I brought the right kind of cup to work and took my mug home. I’ll bring it back once the weather gets cold again. :)
How to bring a mug to work
How I did it: They put a Starbucks stand downstairs where I work ca. three years ago, which at first I thought was awesome! I could have a nice latte after lunch, and they are so yummy! Bad thing number 1: They only take cash, which I don't tend to carry on me that much, and the ATM that's right by it is not from my bank, so coffee money costs extra. Bad thing number 2: The small latte soon will not be big enough any more, and you spend almost $4 on a cup of coffee!!
Lessons & tips: Use the coffee maker at work! Even if you make in initial investment in a pack of coffee (any really, even the gourmet will pay for itself within days!), creamer, sugar or whatever you use, and coffee filters, it CANNOT go much beyond your previous coffee budget of $20.00/week, and will have paid for itself by week 2.

I got me a /dev/mug. It’s just beautiful. And it holds enough caffeine to quickstart my brain in the mornings!
But the handle’s broken off! [Those lovely people at ThinkGeek sent me another one though.]
at first i brought a mug from home but it didn’t seem right.
it is better to have a special wacky weird mug just for the office.
I try to encourage others at my workplace to use mugs rather than styrofoam cups. There are still a few that refuse to convert though.
