graduate from pharmacy school

I’ve literally been to hell and back again with this degree. First year was unsettling, as it would be for anyone, but the difference was I didn’t cope well. The workload tripled in second year. Third year, became disillusioned, failed a subject. Fourth year, still battling disillusionment, under pressure to pass while overloading (it did work out well though), subjects were actually pointless this time and I was just so over the whole thing, and now….just 9 weeks left to go before the final day of classes, and 3 months before exams.

Now I just have to see through the next month of job applications….

i will not discuss the negatives of the evening because the positives far surpass them. it was a wonderful ceremony and it was nice to see all of my classmates dressed up, in our regalia, getting hooded, family present, celebrating afterwards… good times!

24 hours!!! i’m starting to freak out! i can’t wait for all of it, officially being done with school forever, class pictures, the ceremony, the dean calling my name with “doctor” at the beginning, being hooded, watching my friends graduate, the reception after the ceremony, then going out to celebrate!

as of today, only 10 weeks and 3 days left! 11 months of rotations are completely over, i have the month of april off and then we go back for classes, 3 hours per day for 5 weeks, then one week off, then GRADUATION! the worst is behind me and now i am just coasting to the finish line. i am busting with excitement!!!

18 weeks left!!! and only 7 weeks of rotations left, thank god! i bought my cap and gown the other day, and we had graduation pictures taken two weeks ago. also, we received an email from the dean about our first meeting concerning the naplex (the board exam). the meeting is on march 10th. how exciting!!! i am so close yet so far away…

I had a rough time last semester, and if anything, this has propelled me to succeed more. I am surrounded by so many opportunities and by so many people I love. I started an internship last summer and am beginning NICU rotations soon. I cannot give this all away.

25 weeks left!!! rotations are still pretty good but june 13th can not come soon enough. i cannot believe it is almost 2008, i received some emails this week from school about signing up for graduation, ordering caps and gowns, class rings, and class pictures. this is so crazy!!! it is really sinking in. 25 weeks :-D !!!

wow, this last year with rotations are going by really quickly. and i am actually enjoying myself most of the time. 33 weeks kind-of sounds like a long time but this is my eighth year of college, so 33 weeks is nothing. june 13, june 13, june 13… it’s coming!!!

42 weeks!!! this will be the happiest day of my life. i am sooooo tired of school and soooo tired of not having $$$. june 13, june 13, june 13, it can not come soon enough…
