i’ve been reading!! i keep the book by my bed and sometimes before i go to sleep or when i get random insomnia in the night i read it. also whenever i am feeling thoughtful. it’s funny though… whenever i am reading her journals i just get distracted because i get this huge urge to write in my own journal.
The book is amazing.
The second half I have to say is kind of boring, but the first half has to be one of the best things I´ve ever read, so it makes up for it completely. She sounds like an incredible person.
i really need to start reading it. i was just reminded of how much i LOVE sylvia plath. reading her journals is like a big adventure. i don’t know why, but it makes me really happy. i remember when i first read the shorter version. you wouldn’t believe how much of that book i underlined. sometimes i just flip through it and read my favorite parts and i get so happy. i can relate to so many of the things she wrote. it’s like making a new friend. hopefully the unabridged version has more of the good stuff.
During my senior year in high school I went through a huge Sylvia Plath phase during which I bought every book I could and actually read the shorter version of her journals. Best book ever. I find so many things in it that I can relate to… she was so amazing! For my birthday this year I got the unabridged journals… it’s a huge book. Very intimidating. I tried to start it but I really haven’t had time. Hopefully I can make myself read more.
i’ve started on this, but the length fazed me.
i’ve read a lot of other books in between. and now im on the Bell Jar.
i will get around to reading this, if not soon, this year definitely.
