I really want 2 ride but my mum says, “No way!!” It really looks like ‘Loads’ of fun. My friend does it and says its great fun!!
How to learn to ride a dirt bike
How I did it: My brother has had a dirt bike for a while, and I was always interested in learning to ride. He was hesitant at first, but eventually agreed to teach me.
He's bigger than I am, so of course his bike was a bit too big for me and I did wipe out once. But I got the hang of it after a couple of days.
It really is a great feeling.
Lessons & tips:
- Don't be afraid or hesitant
- Learn a bike made for someone your own size

Riding a dirt bike is fun but scary… Takes guts to go over jumps… :)
Ive been riding since i was 5 years old and my dad said i could reach the pegs on my bike..so i stretched and finally got there.. been doing it ever since.. and i love it.. ive taken some time off of it for a while but i deff will stay and get back into it. Deff recommend doing it or trying it on a open track.. youll have a blast!!
I ride as often as I can. It’s really exhilirating. It’s a shame it’s summer, though, it’s 115 degrees where I live and far too hot to ride.
I took an eight hour dirt bike riding class at Motoventures (www.motoventures.com) a few years ago. I was really fortunate in that the only other student scheduled that day didn’t show and I had the instructor all to myself (and a couple of extra hours kindly tacked on because I was enjoying it so much). I didn’t find out until later that my instructor is the owner, and a world class motorcyclist (is that the correct word?), and doesn’t often lead classes himself. He, Gary LaPlante, is a great guy and a fantastic instructor. He is conscientious, patient, and to be frank, quite exacting; he is passionate about his sport and it shows. Also, and rather imporantly, this class is designed to be a serious course in dirt biking not a time for fooling around or living out your (naive) daredevil fantasies as safety, technique, and precision are of prime importance. I took a basic class as I had never commandeered a motorcycle, but I believe that there are a variety of classes and levels on offer as well as tours for the more advanced.
I thought that I was in pretty good shape (running about 25 miles a week), but dirt biking uses muscles that I didn’t even know I had—I was thoroughly exhausted, but in that ‘ah I learned something really cool and had a great time’ kind of exhausted. But, I reiterate, this is WORK mostly because you are (STRONGLY) discouraged from letting your bottom touch the seat as it is poor form to say the least. ;)
The ranch is near Temecula and it gets hot as hell out there, so be prepared or go during the cooler months.
i have been able to ride a dirt bike for 2 years but i can’t go over jumps and land the best also i cant do a wheelie i am 14
i dunno why, dirt bikes look like so much fun to me, plus i got a trail across from my house, the woods go for like a mile down and are like 2 miles wide, i just need the 4000 for a dirt bike
