play basketball again

Haven’t played since high school, but would like to get into it again. I need to get healthy.

well i bought a new basketball today, maybe tomorrow i will get out there and shoot some hoops. Funny is that i mentioned this to a few freinds and they laughed. they thought it was weird that i wanted to shoot.

I hadn’t played in about two years and started playing at a school with people. My girlfriend was there and asked a kid how good I was, he gave me a 3 and I had airball about 4 shots. Two games later I scored around 12 points of our 18. The third time I went there about two weeks later I was the first one picked but then I hurt my ankle and have to wait a little to play, but that’s life.

Well i recently tore my acl and meniscus during my basketball season so i had to get surgery and i cant play for 6 months, it seems almost unbearable, some people doubt that i will be ready for next season so now i really want to prove them wrong

i first played it in 4th grade and i continued till 6th, in school. now, in 8th, we play voleyball, which i totally hate. i was quite good, and i can do better with some practise but i don’t have anyone to play it with. there are some basketball courts in the park, but they’re always full of guys and i haven’t played for a long time now…can’t ask to join in finding out that i’m a disaster. and the other problem is that i’m 1,77 meters and basketball makes u taller.

I have played basketball my whole life. I was always on one team or another until I got to highschool. Then I kept missing tryouts the first two years and then later I didnt even bother because I was so out of practice I doubt I would have even made the team.
My last birthday I was shooting hoops with my brother in law and I remembered how much I loved playing.
It is such an amazing stress reliever too. I had so much stressing me out on my birthday and for that short little while I was playing I forgot all about my problems.
PLUS that game will get me in some kick a** shape again too.
SOOO all I need now is some friends to play with.
I dont want to join a league or anything because I havent played in fooorever now.

i want to become a professional basketball player but my big problem is i dont know how to do

I’m officially on a basketball team now and so happy!!! I’m going to make it work somehow. I have my job and there’s going to be practices and games but I’m going to make it work because it’s worth it. Nobody has any idea how important this is to me. It’s like I’m finally doing something for me.
This is something I really want to do and I just can’t wait to start actually playing.

So I live in a college dorm and someone’s setting up an intramural basketball team. I signed up but nothing has been put together yet. I want to play sooo badly. I feel like if I do, I’ll find a part of me that I lost a really long time ago.

The problem is, I have a job and it most likely will interfere with practices, games, etc… But I’m determined to play. I’ll just have to make it work around my schedule.

It’s worth it.

i realized that i was able to do it already. this past few weeks, i was able to play basketball twice maybe.i still feel conscious about myself though that’s why it’s not that worth it. but my goal is to be better at it and to win over boys. haha! that’s girl power. i want to prove that girls are not inferior to boys and as a girl, i can play even better than them. then, i want to teach. maybe kids because kids are so nice to teach or play with. only if i could just win over my issue, i think, my life can turn better even for a little bit.
