I want pets…probably in the same way that I want kids. I want something to take care of and behavior to manage..

Jessica Steelers FTW!
This goal as a whole is very much worth it. I have had many pets in my life.
But the reason why I am writing htis entry is not worth it.
We had to put down my cat, Whiskers, today (Saturday, the 22nd).
He had been really sick for some time. I first noticed it when I saw how much weight he had lost. He went from almost 9 pounds to just under 4 in the time span of about a month. All of that lost was he muscle weight too.
So we took him to the vet. They ruled out lukemia (very good news). But they kept him over night to run more tests.
They called us at about 8am on Saturday and told us that his kidneys were failing. They said he could have lasted another month or so, but he would have been suffering.
So we choose to put him down.
RIP Whiskers 2003-2007.
I want to have a dunky. Dunkeys are social animals, they should be kept in pairs, or at least they should have a companion – a dog, a horse, a goose…. Now, to have two dunkeys one needs a lot of land. So here I am back to finding a better job first, and then building a house, and then I can have some pets… At least I can dream:) Will start from a cat and a dog though, it would be difficult to find a friend willing to take care of a dunkey when I’m on vacation…..
now me and the boyfriend have a stable home we went out and bought some ratties. we have three now and they are so cute
if you dont believe me type “ratties” and “cute” into google image.
having pets is very rewarding
improves your immune system
makes you responsible
gives you a reason to get up when you are depressed
helps with depression
helps with broodyness and is also alot of fun
It would be cool to have something like a few dogs and cats, a snake, fish, and maybe even a goat. I need a place to keep them though.
