drop out of school

i am 16 years old and im trying to drop out of school my friend has done it and i really want to because im beong bullied but the school has said if i dont go tomorrow my parents will go to court:(what should i do?

I am almost sixteen and can’t wait to drop out!

im 15 and i fuckin hate school. we have no freedom and are treated like dogs, we have to sit and stay and cant argue with teachers even if they are wrong or unfair. i get judged and harrassed bc the way i dress. i ditch like every day now and im failing all my classes bc i refuse to do the homework; i dont believe that grades define how smart you are as a person. being athiest, the fact that we’re required to say the pledge of allegience each morning sickens me. the food is unhealthy and overpriced and sitting in a cell for 6 hours each day doing nothing is actually really exhausting and now i have fucked up sleeping and eating patterns. we also get rediculous assignments like last week we were told to write a persuasive speech on any subject, but when i turned my rubric in i got an F and couldnt present because it was on abortion, an “offensive subject”. i like learning but find it impossible at my school. unfortunately in illinois the dropout age was raised to 17 in 2005 and i have to go to alternative schooling for getting into fights. fuck public school!!!!

Besides perhaps a decision that warrants a prison sentence dropping out of school is the worst decision you could ever make. No matter what you want to do with your life a college, let alone high school, education will enhance your life experience.

College is where you really start to learn about the big bad world that’s out there. College broadens your horizons in so many ways its unfathomable to the high school student. Needless to say, you can never have this college experience unless you finish high school.

Today’s world of high-tech and ever-changing financial climate requires highly trained and highly skilled people. For decades low-skilled manufacturing jobs have been going overseas – that’s not going to change.

I’m currently having another whack at it, but I don’t know how long it’s going to last. I’ve got all these issues with being around people that I have to get out of the way before I can worry about academic stuff, but I can’t go into school every day and do nothing and not piss off my teachers. I’m already a year behind other people my age and I know if I drop out again, I can’t really go back to a regular school, and then (as the Irish education system is all kinds of fucked) getting my qualifications will be really complicated. When I dropped out the first time I was a complete mess and incapable of going in every day, but I’m still kicking myself for leaving in the first place.

Seriously, unless you’re on the verge of mental breakdown or something, don’t drop out. You’re denying yourself such a great opportunity. I really hope I can hack it this time.

what can we do to make school better for each there why do u hate school so much what wants to make you drop out school !!what is it that u do not like about school my be we can make a change in school

im to young at the moment (15) but once i turn 16 in march thats the first thing i am going to do . one of my brthers dropped out , and he is doing better that all6 of us . and belive me i have my own personal reason why i am dropping out . i live ina house where there is way to much gooing on at night then to go to sleep on time . and that means i cant get up in the morning , . then wen i actually do go to school i am mirable and usually end up just leaving as soon as i get there . i am a sopomore and only have 3 credits . i am failing all of my classes. and i am not going to waste any valuable time where i can actually be doing something with me life by going to school . so for all of you who just get bored with school . stay in . its the best thing for you . just not for me =]

I’m too young to drop out right now though (8th grade) and my mom would freak out if I dropped out when I get older, but I hope I will be able to =]

I personally dont like school, it is such a pain, I hate all my classes, mostly everyone in my class. I dont need schoool it is not for me. If i needed to learn anything i could teach myself with the help of the internet. LOL. but yea, you dont need school to be a somebody, all you neeeed is yourself and your mind. You dont neeed school to feel smart, you dont neeed a diploma to be somebody. Mostly everything you learn in schoool, you wont neeed in life, history teaches you about past acccomplishments that people had, not about your accomplishments, so it makes you feeel like you cant do anything, when you can. Science you wont need, you allredy know english you dont neeed that class to learn things you allready know. Its complete bullshit. I caNT wait to drop out. :]. Schoool is not for me. I dont suppport the governnment, becase the government is controlling the schoooling system to not make students smarter than the government, they want you not to feel as intelligent as them so they put together a certainn amount of things that teachers teach children. Things that you wont neeed in life.. Schoooll is for dummmies and im certaintly not a dummie

I wouldn’t regret it either. Not everyone drops out because “it’s hard” or “I hate people.” There’s many reasons and these were not the case for me. I am still going to get my GED and go to college to become an RN. I’m not going to let anything stop me, because I want to become something in life.
