visit my friends

I want to visit my dog and my old friends.

happened.
Whilst its not yet August, I could’nt make it down to see Rob because of the ‘issues’ going on for Mum.
It was’nt to be : (
I miss him lots & he would be good for me at the moment,
give me a fresh perspective.
I shall still get to visit, but Im a little in the dumps about not seeing him sooner.

I have made my arrangements for London which may be as soon as next week.
I got a push with this as Rob ‘threw a coconut’ at me on face book & I knew it was time to hook-up ! (I usually get flowers or a nice suprise gift!)
Barcelona will be August.
However theres a slim chance Amanda could be coming to the UK before then.
So YAY !!!

I have some great friends.
They put up with my sporadic correspondence, being a Virgo & fussing like a mum.
I will take time out to visit & just chill out together.

I had the best time reconnecting with those I love and who make my life happy. :) I can’t wait for the chance to see them again!

okay – i went and visited Marci and Amanda and my sister in Atlanta two weekends ago – very amusing!
I also went back to Denver to see Erin and Mahalia and Miriam, wonderful.

Emily and Katie again in D.C.
Alan in England
Jecca & Eli in Minneapolis
and I think visiting Jennifer is a bit of a stretch, we’ll call that lagniappe if I actually do it.
Unless she lives there, and then, let’s go!

I have many long distance friends and family, both uk and worldwide, that I don’t see often enough. When you do catch up (sadly usually due to a funeral or maybe a wedding if you are lucky!) the usual ‘you must come and visit’ or ‘I will come and stay soon’ are thrown about but as ever another year passes and still no visits have been made.
Having lost my last aunt a year ago I am now, more than ever, acutely aware that people you love are a precious gift to be treasured.
I am going to make sure I visit all my friends in the UK at least twice this year, and the international friends, well they will take more planning but I will be fixing dates and sticking to them! x

... and while I was there I saw two other friends and I took a daytrip to Philly to see two more friends. I was great. I also saw a naked man walking the streets of downtown DC, but that’s another story.
