i moved into a house with my boyfriend not too long ago, and my furniture and clothes are everywhere! i have so much extra crap that i don’t know what to do with – baskets, tons of office supplies, candles, junk… i don’t know what to do! the furniture definitely needs put somewhere. this is quite a project but i haven’t had the time to do it. maybe if i do a little bit after work each day, eventually i can get a handle on it. i have too many clothes that i never wear but can’t give up (because i almost fit into them i say), so i have to go through all that… it’s hopeless. and then the cleaning has to happen – kitchen, bathrooms, office, bedrooms… it will be fun!
How to clean up the house
How I did it: I ended up being sick this weekend and so I just plugged away at the house little by little. Maybe because I was sick, I didn't feel any pressure to have things done quickly. And eventually it all got done.

this is the goal that never ends, it just goes on and on my friend….............................
Cleaned it up today…including the closet, which is really what needed the cleaning. Next…my room again, then the kitchen, then the dreaded basement…cringe
well, i have arranged all the electronics so that there are not wires everywhere all willy nilly and i’ve cleared some space and made the room more…ha…roomy.
still haven’t “cleaned up the house”
....big sigh
just got my room done, still need to do the closet
I want to make the house feel more like home…since I’ll be at home more often now.
Of course I’ll want to keep it up, but right now the office is clear (except for my kid, who came home for the holidays!), the floors washed, the coffee table clean and the clutter is at least hiding. I’ll make a new goal for 2007.
eventually I have to do this. My home is a priority; my house, less so. This year I painted only one room and rearranged the furniture. I did set up my office but it is a mess now. I haven’t made my bed in a week and the holidays are coming.
So, before this year ends I will clean up the office/guest room, thoroughly clean both bathrooms, give away or sell the unnecessary stuff that clutters up my life, and try to make a habit of clearing the living room coffee table of my books, papers, etc. at the end of each evening. It really bothers my poor mom and it is a simple thing for me to do.
And I want to get back to making my bed every day. I did that when I worked, I don’t know why I’ve let it slide. It is so much more inviting in the evening that the rumpled blankets I’ve left the last few weeks.
So, no big promises, just general hygiene, a little courtesy, and forethought.
