I so wish I can do the splits but I can’t but you know what they say don’t persevier which means dont give up.

I’m already seeing a huge improvement. I do 3 sets of each leg, holding each about a minute.
I was on the dance team in high school, and we all had to have splits. We did them so often that I never wanted to do one again. I’ve been mostly strength training through college and really neglected my flexibility. Now I now that having full splits again will help reduce my injury risk. It’s just such an uncomfortable feeling to hold a split when you can’t go all the way to the floor!
I’m 29, I do gymnastics and used to breakdance, and now I’m making this my primary goal after several failed attemps. I stretch every single day now, after a good warm-up and include every muscle of my legs and hips. The first 3 weeks have been good, but now I am starting to plateau. Hopefully I will have another break through soon so I do not get too discouraged. This is very difficult! Any tips or motivation welcome!
