learn español

but I’ve started learning a little Spanish hear and there on http://www.studyspanish.com/ I’ve been doing 15 minutes a night with a focus on grammar and pronunciation… I plan on buying their tapes (cause I have really liked their program thus far and they are affordable) after I find work. :)

I really want to focus more time on language learning.

and with my dream of wanting to be a make-up artist, it makes sense to want to learn a language that so many people in the area speak. Also, I love learning about languages and different cultures. I’ve always dreamed of traveling the world and speaking several different languages.

I’d also like to brush up on my french, but for now, this seams more important.

This has come to a bit of a halt~! Nooooo!

I have to work out a new strategy for learning.

Maybe a few words a night. Or maybe I should look into some sites online as I never actually have… aside from google translate heh.

I am moving into a new house in a week with a friend of mine who has also been learning Spanish. He has gotten further than I have but we have already discussed practicing together. It’s going to help a lot I am sure!

One of the problems with learning Spanish at night classes, is that after a full day of work, I’m not in the best position for learning. Too tired!
That said, I think it’s going quite well. I’m sending lots of mixed English/Spanish emails to my Mum & hopefully this weekend we can have a proper study session together. Our tutor is a little stuck in the past – last night we had to watch a video that was damaged and jumping all over the screen… not ideal.

Generally it is all good after one month of classes. Muy bueno!

Classes are interesting. Almost half way through them now. I’m picking it up and will continue with audio and just looking things up as I want to know them. :)

It was pretty fun & we learned a little about Puerto Rico as well as new vocab & practicing speaking & answering questions. We also learned about plurals and masculine/feminine words.

It’s a good thing, I’m enjoying it.

My Mum and I ended up spending most of the afternoon on Mother’s Day practicing Spanish together. And now my lil’ brother is getting into it to though he isn’t coming to classes.

It’s pretty fun and I have an audio program thing now and my Mum was going to pick me up a Spanish/English dictionary today so things are looking good thus far ;)

Rather old school teacher but will be good none-the-less.

Already can remember quite a bit of vocabulary but need to revise more still.
