look after my shoes

I have been doing well at this goal. Polishing shoes, tossing out really worn shoes and buying ones that FIT.

Recently at Home Depot I found shoe box size clear boxes with lids for 99 cents. Now I can SEE all of my shoes and I remember that, oh yeah I have three red pairs I like. Well worth $30 to get organized!!!

What is the point in great shoes if they are trashed after a season?

I HIGHLY recommend stuffing them with paper (as with expensive bags) to keep their shape. This is especially important for strappy shoes I think. I make a point of caring for my heels after wearing them with special attention to dirt/ salt/ water and heel damage.

I’ll try to get in the habit of polishing my shoes every time I clean/ rearrange my closet about once a month. New shoes will be the reward.

I really wanted to do this because I love my shoes to bits, so I want them to last a while.

So I got all enthused, and went through my wardrobe.

I ordered a whole heap of boxes from theclearbox.com and some boot inserts, and went through all my shoes, wiped them all over to get all the dust off, and put them in their own little box.
Got all my boots all standing up crease free and clean as well.

Feel so much more organised now.
