haven’t started the actual haunting yet but I did pick a spot.

Now I just need to start haunting. Turns out the local tea lounge has wifi, and it’s right around the corner from where I work . . . it’s laid back and relatively quiet. I think perhaps it would make a good midafternoon haunt rather than a morning haunt, or perhaps a post-work haunt, but in any case . . . I need to start going there regularly. So I shall.
Appropriately enough, I discovered this place at their Book Party celebrating the art of the Day of the Dead. It’s awesomeness personified
I’ve had them every other place I’ve lived (NYC; Raleigh, NC).
I believe that such places exist out in L.A. They must. There’s 12 million people in this neck of the woods.
But no one’s admitting to any. That’s ok. I’m a patient man, and we haff vays of making you dance
Having a haunt sort of implies making at least minimal purchases every day, which I have not been able to do lately. Today I splurged and stopped by one of my would-be haunts and got coffee to go. When I am not abysmally poor I go there frequently, but I always get coffee to go – hardly ever sit down to drink it, as I always feel like I am late for work because I haven’t gotten in the habit of getting up early yet . . . dammit!
I want to find a place in town where I can go every morning to get a little work done and collect my thoughts (in a space that’s not work and not home) before heading off to my office . . . drink a little coffee perhaps, and hopefully have access to the internet. I’ve had regular haunts before, but it’s been a while.
