Be Understood

I don’t know what’s wrong with me (since everyone I know says I have problems), I just can’t feel all the pain others do. I say mean things but to me it’s just the truth. I know the truth can hurt, but it doesn’t hurt me. All I think is “Well, that’s true, I do do that” when I do open up though I cry and people think I’m being emotional and that means danger or really not understanding behavore from my brother. I want to be a strong black women and stay away from crying when ever need be but tears just come out sometimes. I’m just a kid and I admit I have the heart of a finished stuborn bull, but I’d like to understand my matadors instead of just fighting them.

I”m different than the people I’m around and i feel like no one gets me.

I figured this one out

Everyone thinks different…its so hard to be understood with all the personalities out there.

I have come to the realization that i am understood even if i don’t always feel like it and if i just stop avoiding people when I’m upset then it will be much easier for others to understand me

i was understood completely. i can’t write anything that conveys how profound that is. to know someone who understands you, who knows you through and through, is ecstasy. and now i’m leaving town, leaving it behind. and he’ll probably leave town soon, whereabouts unknown. it’s hard for me. but i’m working on it. i’m working on being ok with it. i’m working on understanding myself.

OK, I did not write the following but it is cool and I do believe in everything on the list. All those who wish to understand me, read on:

I believe-

That we don’t have to change friends if we
understand that friends change.

I believe-

That no matter how good a friend is, they’re
going to hurt you every once in a while and you
must forgive them for that.

I believe-

That true friendship continues to grow, even
over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I believe-

That you can do something in an instant that
will give you heartache for life.

I believe-

That it’s taking me a long time to become the
person I want to be.

I believe-

That you should always leave loved ones with
loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I believe-

That you can keep going long after you can’t.

I believe-

That we are responsible for what we do, no
matter how we feel.

I believe-

That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe-

That regardless of how hot and steamy a
relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had
better be something else to take its place.

I believe-

That heroes are the people who do what has to be
done when it needs to be done, regardless of the
consequences.

I believe-

That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe-

That my best friend and I can do anything or
nothing and have the best time.

I believe-

That sometimes the people you expect to kick you
when you’re down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe-

That sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be
angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

I believe-

That just because someone doesn’t love you the way you
want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

I believe-

That maturity has more to do with what types of
experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them
and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

I believe-

That it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by
others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe-

That no matter how bad your heart is broken the
world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I believe-

That our background and circumstances may have
influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we
become.

I believe-

That just because two people argue, it doesn’t
mean they don’t love each other. And just because they
don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.

I believe-

That you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a
secret. It could change your life forever.

I believe-

That two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.

I believe-

That your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don’t even know you.

I believe-

That even when you think you have no more to
give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the
strength to help.

I believe-

That credentials on the wall do not make you a
decent human being.

I believe-

That the people you care about most in life are
taken from you too soon.

only God will EVER understand me. Okay…but I need to know. Need some sound evidence that God does. Without that, I just need someone who just understands me here – a person just like me. Is this just a pipe dream or do others feel the same about this?

So, You are all looking at this wondering what I am going to say…...Right? Well here you go….....

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from
her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack. “Miss Whack, I’d
like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday.” Patty looks at the frog
in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit
Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it’s okay, he knows the
bank manager. Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan
with some collateral.

The frog says, “Sure. I have this,” and produces a tiny porcelain
elephant, about half an inch tall – bright pink and perfectly formed.
Very confused, Patty explains that she’ll have to consult with the
bank manager and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, “There’s a frog called Kermit
Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow
$30,000. And he wants to use this as collateral!” She holds up the
tiny pink elephant. “I mean, what in the world is this?”

(you’re gonna love this)

The bank manager looks back at her and says… “It’s a knick
knack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man’s a Rolling
Stone.” (You’re singing it, aren’t you?!! – I knew you would be.)

Bet you can’t help but SMILE! Now do you know why I need to be understood….posting a joke on a serious goal.

have told me on 43T, you can never be fully understood. But if you know that you are understood at least to some degree then you can feel like you’re not completely isolated in this world.

I think I’m making progress here, but doubt I could ever complete this goal. Of all my personal goals, if I could actually check this as “completed” it would be my greatest accomplishment I have yet listed.
