I’m hosting a party this year for the first time, gonna be awesome! I’m sooo stoked!
My husband and I had our party this Friday the 13th and it was a huge success. Most people dressed up, but it wasn’t required. It was still loads of fun and so many people came. They were coming and going though which was good since our apartment is small in the first place. We were up till about 3:30 and just hung out, watched some DVDs, played games, I made cupcakes and guacamole and had many drinks too of course. My Halloween party last year was pretty cool too, but there were more people this year. You can bet I’m going to have another one next year.
We’re having a Halloween Party this year in our tiny new apartment, haha. I had one last year back home in Austin, and it was a blast. Now I’m living with my husband in this little apartment in Winnipeg, but I can’t go a year without having a Halloween Party! I’ve already decorated a bit, and got some fun stuff for the event. We were planning on filling the bath tub with ice and beer, but we’ll see if we want to buy that much ice, haha. It’s just going to be fun with all our friends and such. We’re also having it on Friday the 13th this year, rather than Halloween day. But Friday the 13th is still a spooky day, plus we’ll want to make other plans for actual Halloween day.
This year I decided for Halloween to have a video or camera scavenger hunt party. The guests are going to be divided into teams and have to take pictures or record the requested tasks and items on the camera. (wrapping themselves up in toilet papet like a mummy and taking a picture with a stranger, having a stranger make monster faces, stuff like that) I really would like the video version but I don’t know where exactly to get that many cameras. Any one know of where I can rent cameras for the day? Or am I better off just using polaroids?
two years in a row we have held it for our american exchange students. Very entertaining. First year I was painted as a guy with 2 faces (you can see it in my 43things profile). Second year I was “Super Simon”.
My mom was a witch. My dad was dracula. My sister was a chinese girl painted white in her face, wearing a kimono (nobody has recognized her afterwards). I don’t recall what my brother was dressed up as.
We spoke english during the parties.
