sabryn okay...how about a calm December?
Nothing makes you feel trusted like having a little kid fall asleep with his head on your arm.
I have what seems like millions of cousins and this is the only way to get them to nap.

I’ve had lots of kids do this. I’m glad they feel they can trust me. :)

Then your arm falls asleep, or you have to pee, or the kid starts drooling on you, but you’re afraid to move or they’ll wake up…
It’s sweet for about 5 minutes, after that, lemme go!

I took care a few times some years ago of one of my friend’s little sis. She was like 3 or something. She made fun of me when I changed her nappies the wrong way. Then she made me read her her whole collection of kid’s books. Then she fell asleep. So cute. And I watched a horror movie downstairs. :-D
What a good idea! It is nice to see someone trust you so much and find comfort in your presence. Pet, kid, friend, love. Whoever.
As a kid, I loved it when my hampster would fall asleep in my pocket. I hope it wasn’t a lack of air… he always woke up later!
Although I don’t have any of my own yet, nap time was my favorite time while teaching preschool. There’s nothing more gratifying than rubbing a 3 y.o.’s back while they fall off to sleep. Ahhh… I can’t wait to have my own!
I’m not sure how this goal wound up on my list, because as a mom of eight, I’ve done this more nights than not, but I’m not going to just delete it, because it really is worth doing and thus worth documenting as well.
