...and I still don’t have a knitted hat! Definitely a goal for next winter now.

Yay Free People. Always gorgeous…
I can’t wait to get started!
Ok, well it was orignally supposed to be a sock. And it din’t workout. So I turned it into a hat because it was way to big for my foot and it was very lose. Anyway its pink with a multicolored band and yarn ball at the top. If i had a picture I would put it on here, but I don’t…:( Anyway, they are easy to make and you don’t neccessarily need a pattern.
Besides your average, simple scarf, a hat is a wonderful beginner project. I loved making mine. It was fairly simple, it worked up fast, and the end result is wonderful. A warm, knit hat you can wear to keep those ears from being bitten by the wind. I definitely recommend this project! Careful… because they do get addicting. You’ll be making at least one for all the people you know.
I’m such a goer, a doer, a mover- I did a few rows on a scarf (god was that over a year ago now?) but never could get into knitting. When I did sit down and try, I was so tired I just wanted to sleep. Maybe this will be a good thing to do when I have less energy, er, more sleep.
the recipient likes it very much and wears it often. I think hat is the ideal knitted item as a gift. Hat is very quick and simple to make.
After my recent knee surgery, my friend Alicia did two very thoughtful and sweet things for me: first, she loaned me her bicycle trainer so I could re-hab here at home and second, she taught me how to knit! She just finished this fuzzy-wuzzy cute hat for herself and now I want one too! So I better get to practicing on my knitting and learning purling.
Alicia, thanks for being such a dear and thoughtful friend. I’m so grateful for your gracious and gentle ways.
