I looked for the $1000 houses, but couldn’t find them. Found a house in Redford for 6 that needs major work. Also found an empty lot in Redford for 750. Considered buying Kim’s house, but Detroit car insurance is killing me. Kim’s house is around 50, but also found houses in Grosse Pointe for 50! That is exciting!

2009 is my year to be in better shape financially. I got a new book about budgeting and such and I’m really excited about it. Also, I heard that there are houses going as cheap as $1000, but need alot of work, and that there are government monies available. The point is that I realize that it will take patience and determination to meet this goal and I am willing to put in the time.

So back to phase one in wanting to own a house and stop wasting rent money on (mostly) greedy people and companies! Either get one at auction and do it up or have one built.
Saying that, I do like the freedom in not owning one. But still, in a few years when I want to start a family and all that jazz.
Jeez it’s a long way off!
Things are looking good so far. I know I’ve got over a year until I can get a mortgage, but I’m paying bills pretty good these days with money left over. I’m even managing to do some saving. I would invest, but with this economy?
I was looking for a house to rent and ended up renting from a friend for a very low price. My plan is to rent until I am able to obtain a mortgage again. At that time, I will buy my friend’s house. It’s not my dream house, but I can fix it up very nicely and either stay or sell later.
I lost my house. It was foreclosed. My credit is really messed up now. I just want to have good credit again.
.......twice! Took it for granted. But I will do it again! Even here in the SF Bay Area it is possible.
