"Tough decisions have to be made, but don't be overly judgmental."
How I did it: Think of your life and the friends you surround yourself with constantly. Are they leeching off your energy? Are they too full of themselves to care? Are they building you up, and offering good advice? Are they mature or childish?
Think of what you would like in your life.
Also importantly, think of what you have/can contribute to these friendships - you need to self-reflect a little, and not just 'take' from others.
Don't be a 'yes' man, choose your friends carefully. This doesn't mean being judgmental or critical of others, it's just being aware of what you need and what gets you down. Some people are great motivators. Some accomplished awesome things, which you admire and respect. Some are quiet but mature and wise. Some are happy and loud and doing their best in everything. Some are just people you love to talk to. Some quietly point you to the right path when you're frantic. These are the people I recognized in my life, and I know that I can learn loads from them, and in turn, be a good friend to them.
You can't please everyone, but you can choose those you would like to please!
