Finish my essays

1 done, 2 to go.

The weekend has landed. All that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties. I’ve got 48 hours off from the world, man. I’m gonna blow steam out my head like a screaming kettle, I’m gonna talk cod shit to strangers all night, I’m gonna lose the plot on the dancefloor. The free radicals inside me are freakin’, man! Tonight I’m Jip Travolta, I’m Peter Popper, I’m going to never-never land with my chosen family, man. We’re gonna get more spaced out than Neil Armstrong ever did, anything could happen tonight, you know? This could be the best night of my life. I’ve got 73 quid in my back burner – I’m gonna wax the lot, man! The Milky Bars are on me! Yeah!

i got another essay done! Woo! so thats 3 more to do! (ahhh)
im gonna do one in maths tomorrow, (i no weird, huh?) and then one after lunch tomorrow hopefully!! dunno mite get extremely bored!! well i most deffinatly will get extremely bored!!

I wish I hadn’t procrastinated so much over starting this thing…
Oh well, let this all-nighter be a lesson!
I’ve put some money aside and when I finish this I’m going to go clothes shopping to reward myself.

a lab report about an experiment we conducted…
I know this is not the end of the world but its hard to get anything done when its christmas and all you want to do is eat and get drunk….

I do a theology course and I’m currently behind with my essay hand-ins (only 1 out of a possible 7 so far with ~15 in total by June) and the course depends very much on self-motivation!
I know that goals have to be – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time framed (SMART – although I change the ‘A’ to Attractive because why do something to which there is no advantage?!) so here’s the plan:

Deliver 1 complete 2000 word academic essay per week until February 16th 2007

I think that fulfils the relevant criteria so I’d better get off here and get writing about the life of Elijah!

I got the following e-mail from my academic VP last Friday at 4 PM:

“Your results are in & you’ve done very well. Call me”

So of course I called immediately because who knows when she would be leaving, and keeping me in suspense all weekend.

I went in to pick up the essays and get the comments – I’d been told that one of the course leaders was so thrilled with my Anamnesis essay that if she could have given it 100 she would have. It turned out she gave it 97, and she called it a “tour de force.” The other two leaders, of course, wouldn’t let me get away with that, so they’re asking asinine questions (because you can never ask too many questions, to find fault with something) and one of them even missed something – he said it was surprising I didn’t mention the Holocaust, but I actually had, I just didn’t write “…the Holocaust…”. I expect to get a final mark of 90-something, but I noticed that Heather was trying to round everything down and say “high 80’s.” If that’s what I get, I’m going to go back and ask them to justify that. There’s only one justification: it was the course that, with the exception of the class on Forgiveness which I seemed to “get” more than anybody, I mumbled and bumbled the whole way through. It was by far the worse participation class for me for my whole degree. It was also by far the best paper.

For my Afghanistan and Terrorism essays, I’ve only got minor notes – actually no comments on Terrorism – but I got high-80’s and 88 (just one grade for that paper) for each.
