This is my New Year’s Resolution… to dress in lolita wear. I rung in the New Year dressed as a Gothic Lolita and loved every minute of it. I am learning how to sew so I can make my own clothing. I can’t wait to go all out!

How I did it: Lolita often seems like a very expensive fashion, especially if you usually wear T-shirt+Jeans or something like that xD. Actually, the clothes are worth their money: they are usually made with wonderful fabrics and laces, and are perfect in every smallest detail.Like every other fashion, there are the "brands", whose clothes are prettier but also more expensive, and the offbrand stuff, whose quality is a bit inferior but its prices are b… Read how I did it…

I am very excited to be doing this. I bought some very pretty purple fabric to make a dress with last week and have cut out all the pieces. As soon as I find out where my mom’s sewing machine is I’m going to sew it together. Hopefully I will have finished before December 6 so I can wear it to Gallery Night at my school where I will be showing my art.
I recently became a fan of the fashion, and have started to make my “lolita wordrobe”.
For people who don’t know what it is, read this for the facts:

At the moment I only have enought to wear on the odd special occasion. Once I am able to wear it frequently, I will say I am now a loli and that is goal is complete.
I am well on my way though _
It looks like so much fun!!!! I just don’t have the time to make my own dress yet TT.TT
Anybody know where I can buy one that ships to the states? (and will fit women that don’t have the body of a japanese woman…)
Is it still Gothloli if you go more towards buckles/straps and lacings rather than frills and lace? The cut of the dresses would be the same, but the accouterments would be different.
Can’t be bothered
I’ve got so many more things that i’d rather do
nod
yeahhh soo.
I’m not rly giving up.
If i ever go 2 Japan, then i will definately buy some cool cosplay outfits ! =]
In the meantime this is the end of this goal
I would really love to do this, either as a gothic lolita or
a sweet lolita.
I just need some stuff to wear, but i really want to
try and make a bit of my own stuff, or just throw my old clothes together to look like it.
kujassilverdragon is full of puv.
There’s no way I would buy these clothes. They’re far too expensive. I make my own stuff. A full-on dress might cost me… £20-30, with proper fabrics, patterns and notions. I recently made a punk lolita skirt for 70p with material bought from my local (fantastic!) charity shop. The zip was actually more expensive than the material.
A friend and I are planning to wear our Lolita outfits to the annual outdoor Shakespeare In The Park event this year. It’s gonna be great!
I don’t think the style really suits me that much (certainly not sweet or hime lolita, I lean towards aristo and classic styles) but I’m gonna try it at least once.
Hi guys i need to know where i can buy a gothic lolita dress from in London? where in Camden sells them? Im dying to dress up :(
