When I think about walking up to that tea shop and going inside, I get so excited, I literally cant stand it. When I think of the thought of Moby being there and seeing him, I feel like I could pee. I just hope not in front of him. How awkward would that be. I also told myself and everyone else I would not be one of those people who shook his hand and said ” I love your music, it changed my life”...even though, well, it did. Its all I listened to when I was there for the Red Cross helping with Sept 11. I wish I could show Moby what I saw when I listened to his music and walked the streets of NY.
10 days. 10 very exciting, cant wait like a 5 year old cant wait to go to Disney, wait.

we think we need the time to be away from everyone and everything and concentrate on us in the busiest city in the world.

The trip is planned and paid for. Non refundable on everything. So, close to $2000 later, I have airfare to NYC with a 4 star hotel, tickets to see Cirque de Soliel and a date with Moby. Now, do I go? Do I go with my girlfriend? Do I try to sell it? I told her if this could help things along, she could take the bitch that’s ruining our lives and use it as a romantic weekend to get in all the sex they want. Get it out of their systems. Mind you, believe it or not, I did put it a lot nicer. Again, if youre mean and yelling, no one will listen to what you have to say and what would be the point. Who can argue well with someone who is rational? She has to look at me stone cold in my straight face.
I seriously dont know what to do. I keep thinking maybe things can be much better in 2 weeks. But I can have a backup in case I do end up leaving…I dont know.
Do you think Moby likes Cirque de Soliel?

Less than one month. I can’t wait. It’s going to be so…unreal. What a way to spend your birthday; with my girlfriend and Moby.

to sit in a window seat at Teany, let the sun hit me as I read a book, drank some tea and had a really great vegetarian sandwich for lunch. Maybe Moby would get me my tea.
Man, that would be so awesome.

I re-downloaded Napster because the IT people thought they were cool and could stop me from using it, but since they are lazy and I used to be a little bit of a hacker back in the day, I am now set up and ready to go again. In 10 minutes. HA HA HA. Take THAT.
Anyway, I added over 60 songs to my Moby playlist and am listening to him while I wait until 1pm for this stupid meeting that I KNOW they are going to tell us they are cutting hours or laying us off because the nurses are striking. We have to move as many babies as possible to other level 3 care hospitals which are Rochester (1 hour away), Toronto (in Canada, 1 hour 15 minutes away) and Pittsburgh (3 hours away). Some of them may die. Way to go nurses. Way…to….go. So the thought of being laid off a few days for christmas, the unemploment line…I need Moby right now. To bad I can’t go for tea and veggie sandwiches in NYC.
Don’t pray for me. Pray for the people who lost their jobs already and have children. Just send me some good thoughts.
Thanks.

I get some money back from my student loans. Usually, I send it back, but this time I think I may keep $1000 of it, find a decent hotel, book 2 tickets on a train and take my girl to NYC. We talk about it all the time. She would love to go and I would love to go again. We could eat a vegetarian meal and drink some tea at Moby’s place, Teany. Maybe we would even see him! I’m sure he’s probably used to people telling him that he wrote the soundtrack to their lives and that they love him. I’m sure he has even heard that he has changed people’s lives. I’m sure its all true to every person who says it and the 1000th time he has heard it, but this is my 1 and first experience being in Moby’s world. To me, that would be awesome.
So, I better start pricing hotels and trains. We will probably go during spring break, when I have off from class.
How exciting.

I have been a big fan of Moby since 2000. A little later than most fans, but hey, I finally caught on. I also love his newer stuff as opposed to older techno stuff…I’m getting older. When I went to NYC to help with the World Trade Center disaster, I listened to him all the time. He soothed me. It calmed me in a world of chaos. Now he has a tea shop. To be around that would be amazing. Tea, great food and someone who calms you in the middle of chaos, that’s worth a weekend trip to NYC.
