I’ve just been working on a project called “If I were President”. And now I want to be President!

to Barack Obama b/c I think he’ll do a better job than I could do – my campaign is over. I hope that you aren’t too broken-hearted about my dropping out of the race! :D

& someone competent takes over. I don’t care if the next pres can play guitar while standing on his/her head, but they’d better know their stuff when it comes to foreign policy, global warming, human rights and ending poverty in America…otherwise, I’m back in the running.

As President, I would cut taxes, as I believe no one can handle money better than the citizens, as is the case right now. No government has ever been good at that. I’d fight for the fair tax plan, equal percentage, across the board, 7.5% sounds good to me. I’d enforce the already-present legislation concerning border security. I’d cut down the size of the government, helping those that were “let go” find work in the private sector. I’d fight the “death tax” to the end, because it’s simply wrong to take that much away from someone’s heirs. Social security would offer the option of privatizing, and citizens would get tax deductions for using the private system, and investing firms who solely operated on social security accounts would be privelaged as well, so long as they operated efficiently and ethically. I’d find ways, even if it meant losing a chunk of that $400,000.00 a year paycheck as President, to open up citizen communication with government, so the government that is SUPPOSED to work FOR the people, would be reminded of that on a regular basis, and more decisions involving legislation, law, and regulation would rely more on the input of the citizens. On matters of war, I’d prefer to keep things civil, but if someone tries to mess with the Red, White, and Blue, I’d be honored as President, to unleash the hounds of hell on that ass.
Personally, I’d do my best to be a role-model President, focusing on family values, the Bill of Rights, optimism, community, morals, the law, and the fact that America is what it is, the best damn country God put on earth.
I’d also invite all the left-wing yay-hoos to one-on-one debates. Televised and unedited. When debates got boring, we’d just go to boxing matches :-D

I would like to actually do something memorable though, with my great panal i am sure we will acheive. Heres to my year of presidency!!!
