really bad shamrock tattoo fixed. For the most part. Im going to add to it a little but the color has been repaired and now is the color of a real shamrock, not some 8 year olds perception of shamrock with box o’ neon crayons.
Side note, I dont know what is up with Tom but he was such a jackass today. His energy was crazy off, wouldnt shut up, was INSANELY angry about EVERYTHING and even told me that he was out to ruin someone’s career. This is not the zen Tom I have known forever. I told him that unhappiness shows its face in many ways no matter how loud the voice gets that is trying to convince me otherwise. Sometimes when we feel trapped, its easy to take it out on the rest of the world.
Good to see him. See you around….
It made me sad. I wish he was strong enough to fix what it is that makes him unhappy. But first, I wish him strength to admit that he is unhappy. Peace my friend. I love you very much.
End note: tattoo color done. Next tattoo if all goes well, about 3-6 months.

I called Tom yesterday and we chatted for a bit. Of course his first words were “sleeves…..” I told him no, he needs to fix this monstrousity of a tattoo he gave me last year. More and more I hate it. Its not what I wanted and we have to make it so that when I look at it I dont want to rip my arm off. We’ll start with the color. Bright neon anything is so not me, so the shamrock has to be deeper, on top of fuller. I hate the shading in the celtic knot but took his advice because he said it would look like a stamp. “This makes it more natural”. All my other tattoos are gorgeous so I took his word.
So, Monday, I am meeting with him to fix it and talk about the tattoo I want on my back. Sleeves have to wait. 1) I dont know what I want and 2) what will it look like when Im 55? Im having a hard time getting past that.
This is my bad tattoo “before” picture.

P got the Wii last night. I admit, its cool. The bowling was fun. I have to admit though, I am concerned that getting it is expensive, especially since we lose interest in things like that and $400 could have gone toward a good looking quarter sleeve. That would have last a lot longer and probably would be prettier.
For that sake, part of it could have gone to pay for one night of dinners at a homeless place I volunteer for, clothes for the summer because I need new ones, a massage because, again, I need one. Besides, Im a little peeved because when I set up the Wii fit, I entered in all my info and the board is also a scale, so when it weighed me, it made my Wii me, fat. My mouth dropped. Theres me yelling at the TV going “YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN ME 50LBS AGO”!! It wasnt very nice. Not like Nintendo would care.
Anyway, Tom, my tattoo guy, would never call me or draw me fat. I know this for sure.
This is Tom. So handsome.

The more I look at my shamrook tattoo, the more it irriates me. I love Tom’s work, but the shamrock I wanted and the one I got, is not even close. Its more the color than anything. I guess its hard to do light greens without getting into that whole neon looking green thing. So, I am calling Tom to tell him we need to do something about the shamrock. Then maybe talk half sleeve. Something NON TRIBAL and something NON JAPANESE. Those are so over done.
PS—this was what I wanted my tattoo to look like…color all wrong. Plain green it is.

I’m gonna go see Tom next week. See what’s up, talk about a quarter sleeve and see how he is coming along on the whole sperm donation idea.

I went to a meeting my girlfriend was having with my tattoo guy (who is the coolest person I have ever met)and he said he would do a half sleeve for me. He drew a really cute picture of a peacock that is kind of tribal which would look great covering the disaster on my back. Bad tattoo, bad place, all before Tom. So, after she gets hers done, I’m gonna go back and have him do the back piece (which is about 4 inches long), then start on the sleeve. YES!
Renaissance Tattoo, Buffalo, NY. Ask for Tom. But, now that he owns the place, he has really jacked up hours. Unless of course he digs you. Like me. Hee hee.

I personally love sleeves. I hope to one day have them.
I think my inspiration was Travis Barker. I love his tattoos.
