read sandman comics

Ok so no spoilers but I just finished the final volume, The Wake, and it was pretty friggin good…..I think the ending fit the Dream King and I’m so glad I read this series! I am now going to have to add Death: The High Cost of Living to my list of things to read!

I just finished The Kindly Ones last night and I have to say it was a bit different than I expected….It was kinda bittersweet to be quite honest….I knew he had to go but I didn’t quite get the hows and whys….Not sure yet if I will get it but I am almost done with The Wake and it’s as off kilter (for me) and the last….this goal is almost complete :)

I am about 2/3 of the way through this volume so I just might make this one! I’m sure the neighbors would prefer I did :)

Ok so I just wrapped up World’s End and it was good, as I expected it would be. Interesting concept with the Inn….kinda like the Hotel California meets the Canterbury Tales meets Tales from the Crypt :) Now it’s on to The Kindly Ones!

Since I’m broke I’ve had to hit the library for the last 5 volumes of the series…..now I’ve finally gotten them from the library after requesting them to be sent from ANOTHER library FOREVER ago….at least almost all of em….Starting World’s End right now!

Ok so I’ve found the last 3 volumes at several different libraries and they are all being sent to my local library…...I think this goal will be accomplished!! WOOHOO!

I just wrapped up #7 Brief Lives and it was great. It was an interesting look at the Endless themselves…..very telling. While I’m reading 1602 I’ll find #8 at the library….

Ok so with this term a near halt to all reading has occurred….sad really that a future English teacher has zero time to read!! But it’s all good…I am working through Brief Lives (#7) and it’s just as wicked good as the rest….I’ve also got 1602 by Gaiman and I bought both the novel and graphic novel version of Stardust…oh yeah I also picked up Coraline!! I am a Gaiman junkie!! I even wrote a paper comparing his work with Shakespeare’s!! I made a B!!

I just wrapped up #6 and have come to a stopping point…partly because I am broke and partly because the library is closed. It was pretty damn good and I am sooo ready for the last 5 but it’ll have to wait till at least Wednesday!
