amayanaWith a little help from my friends

A friend of mine cheered me up a little when I told him that I considered giving up on photography entirely since it frustrated me so greatly. He said that I should avoid making prompt decisions now and I suppose he’s right. 9 months ago

Not giving up just yet. 9 months ago

  • Decided that from now on I’ll take one of my cameras with me, wherever I go. Preferably, my dear analogue SLR. Need some film though as I left most of my material in London and have used up all of the films that I brought back.
  • Need to process the two films with the Chicago shots. 10 months ago

Got a pro account on Flickr. Hopefully that will help motivate me to take more photos. 17 months ago

amayanaSusan Sontag

I ordered a book last night and it’s called “On Photography” by Susan Sontag. They say that everyone who is into photography ought to read this. I’m curious. 21 months ago

amayanaFrustrated.

I should really take more pictures. I’m not satisfied with the results yet.
Additionally every time I go out and don’t use my camera, I feel frustrated because I know that I should be working much more on my skills. Maybe I should get some books too. Practice is good but theory is key. 21 months ago

I now own a couple of wonderful, fancy, amazing analog cameras of which I am rather proud. There’s my favourite one which is the splendid SLR Canon AE-1 Program (1979). And then there is my precious point-and-shoot Olympus Trip 35 which was built in the seventies also.

I think I’m getting better the more photographs I take. Some people have mentioned that I have a good eye for beautiful things. All I need to do is develop, develop, develop… (Literally, haha!)) 21 months ago
