We did this goal one better by getting a minivan instead. The gas mileage is two or three times as much. Also, it helped achieve the goal of “driving the entire rescue transport”. It would have been too cost-prohibitive. It’s hard to get over the minivan stigma, but I’m working on it.

One reason I want to get an SUV is to more efficiently transport rescue animals. The vehicles that we have now are inefficent for this because space is limited.

i love the comfort of my SUV, but I also feel really guilty driving it because they’re bad for the environment.
Get a hybrid instead. I will probably just keep mine for family trips, but I really want a hybrid. Maybe my SUV will end up as rarely used 2nd car.

I bought this car as a gift to myself when I got divorced. It was a nice gift, but expensive and with the price of gas going up it costs a lot to fill up the gas tank. Overall I think it was worth it, but when I have to make the car payment every month and fill up my gas tank every week, I wish I would of just bought a sedan, LOL!
