try oysters

to celebrate the third anniversary of our first date (also sushi). He really wanted to try the oysters on the specials menu. He’d never had them either, and loves to try new foods. I was hesitant, as they didn’t sound good to me. But I finally said, “The heck with it. Let’s do it.” I promised him I’d at least eat one.

They were served raw, on ice, with a spicy asian sauce. They were REALLY good. I was pleasantly surprised, and ended up eating three.

I’m really proud of myself. :)

I dont know what all the fuss is about as they were slimey and horrible. I wouldnt pay my good money for them again.

i rely liked them slightly salty and tasted like most shell fish to me but then i am not a food conusir

Saw 2 at the supermarket! Once home I attaced the interesting shaped shell with a knife. They smell of the ocean and rest in a salty liquid which also tastes of the ocean. In went the oyster and liquid and chewed… nice! I like them a lot. It’s like tasting the ocean. Worth doing!

Two women died the other day, in Savannah or Chatham County, Georgia.

So… if you eat oysters, you may want to give ‘em a good steaming, and beware from which beds they come.

If you insist on raw fish or seafood, then you should be supporting those who champion clean waters and coastal lands. Write to President Bush, VP Cheney, and your Senators and House Representatives. Let them know you care for healthy places and clean and healthy food.

They taste bad.

i didn’t think i’d like them. ...in fact, the first few times i don’t think i did. i’m of the mindset that you should try everything at least three times (there are however, obvious exceptions). ...anywayz, i kept trying them and now i love oysters. an added bonus is that they give you almost a natural high or buzz. ...it’s hard to explain, but maybe if you try this you’ll understand.

finally tried them had the kilpatrick ones and they were yummy

I can’t believe I’m the only one who wants to try these??! :O
