I went to stay with my grandparents this summer. Together we watched Countryfile which is a BBC programme about the British countryside and its way of life. I was surprised to become hooked watching it. I was expecting something that was incredibly boring- what I was met with was quite the opposite.

In it there were some awesome goats who had their tootsies trimmed and disinfected. They did an experiment at Maidstone Goats Home to prove that goats have excellent long term memory. Very amusing.

I went to the farm today. After my tractor ride, I paid a visit to the goats and a shetland pony who share the same barn. There were more goats than I remember seeing in one place. One looked up at me and I swear it rolled its eyes as if to say “Yes, I know I’m gorgeous. Keep looking, puny human.” His demeanour was that of a cat in the Egyptian era. It was as if he expected to be worshipped.

If this particular goat was cast in a talking animal movie, I would have cast Stephen Fry to play him. One cool kid! 9 months ago
