mow the lawn

It rained cats and dogs earlier today. But once the electrical storm stopped for the remainder of the day I went and got my mow on. It’s not easy mowing 1.5 acres of land in mostly knee high grass (it’s Texas people). Especially bothersome was the mower, it had a bent blade and took forever to push. So I borrowed my neighbor’s mower and what a huge relief that was! As with everything in life where there’s a will there’s a way. I’m not done yet, got about a quarter done, but already made such a great impact on the overall impression of the lawn.

My mom wants me to do this.

Another job for my week off work.

Need to get it done while we have a rare dry weekend.
Then keep it looking nice for the summer.

and… I broke the belt on the mower while doing it…which will make the next grass appt. harder to meet.

iT CAme with the house. Takes me about an hour, but i ACtually enjoy it. My yard looks so much better, and since I am riding, it isn’t too hard work.

Got tired of fussing with the lawn.

My lawn looks nicer now.

We bought a new house recently and my father-in-law had been cutting our grass. Today I finished my lawn for the first time! Granted, I did the front on Friday, and the back today, and I still need to get an edger, but hey! It’s coming along!

Now I guess I should change my entry to buy a new lawn mower
