Today is 1 year to the opening of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
How to go to the World Cup
It made me 
"Well, I guess I did this when I was about 10"
How I did it: I put this goal up meaning that I wanted to go in South Africa next year, but it's not gonna happen. And then I realized, I actually did go to the World Cup in '94 in Los Angeles.
So, I guess I'll cross this off for now. Maybe someday I'll get to go again, when it's somewhere else.

Ticket sales started today

The on-line ticketing system went live today. A very fair system is in place where a lottery will decide who gets tickets, if any match is oversubscribed. So whether you put in a bid today or on the last day of this 1st round of ticket sales, your chance of success is the same.
Later on, any tickets still available can be bought on a first-come, first serve basis.
PS the Stadium in Durban is starting to look good.

I’m such a fan of the beautiful game. I was traveling in Italy during the 2006 World Cup in Germany. It was amazing watching the final match in the tiny little common room of the hotel near the border of France. The room couldn’t have been more than 15×15 feet and yet somehow we fit almost 25 people in there to watch it. There was mayhem when Italy won (of course). Well, the French guests were not pleased.
I want to go see the match to support my country (USA). I know we have yet to win or even get close (well, at least the men do, our Women have won twice), but that’s my nations team so I’m proud to support them!
Go to the World Cup.

My boyfriend and I have already started to find places to stay, now we are just waiting for the tickets to go on sale!!! We also already have our tickets… first class baby!!! OMG it makes everything so my better!!! I’m so excited this is going to be an amazing experience and the best thing I could have wished for right out of college!!!!
Of course that it just the beginning, we are going to stay in South Africa and then head to India or Israel, we haven’t decided yet… Do some traveling mostly but also so volunteer work!

i am making serious plans to get to south africa in 2010. my bro wants to go too. i hope he doesnt mind me tagging along! this is something everyone should do once in their life.

This should be kinda easy as I can walk to the soccer stadium from my house. Now I just need to save up for some tickets. And if Brasil is playing!!!
