Get my labret pierced

I want a side labret because I think it looks cute :)

but I am captivated by this piercing, especially when worn with a very thin ring. Gorgeous, on both girls and boys!

Once I’m 18, no parental permission needed. Being from a family of nurses, all I ever hear when I mention that I want this is how lip piercings are the most often to get infected and everything else that could go wrong. I know the risks and I accept them, though I tend to be an abnormally fast healer with most things, especially piercings. So, this goal is a no-go until a year and a half from now when my 18th birthday comes. I’m going to wait until January or so, so that I can get the piercing and let it heal long enough to put a less-noticable retainer in for when I go home from college to visit my folks. They’ll notice eventually, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
I know it will affect me in the work field, as most workplaces do not appreciate piercings, but my future career plans for myself include very freestyle casual workplaces anyway, but it’ll still be a while until get there.
I can’t wait though!

Its reli a gud piercing to get. Recommend getting it done with a bar tho. I found it sore but that depends on pain tolerence so dont listen to that part lol, i got alot of ulcers in my mouth, dno why :S, but id say clean with salt n water, helps alot!,

My friends pierced my lip for me, the day before we went sailing, so my parents didnt find out until it was already half done healing.

And when they did find out, they were a little pissed but, that’s life and I still have it :)

oh yeah, and funny thing was I actually tried to book an appointment but every place said I needed a parent or legal guardian if under 16. (I’m 15.) So I ended up with 3 appointments for the same piercing that I didnt go to. But my friend did a REALLY good job, didnt she? And I save 80 DOLLAZ!

I’ve realized that, although I may desire the piercing greatly at the moment, it is not the approriate thing for me to do at this stage in my life. As my graduating year, I have a lot of important things to do and people to meet/see in the coming year, and, even though they shouldn’t, people will judge me on this.
So for now, I say a farewell to that dream.

Wayhay…managaed to persude my parents to let me get it done !! Gettin it tomorrow (tuesday) woohoo, should go nicely with my collection of other piercings iv got :)

and it doesn’t hurt at all!
