I have decided that I am going to put some of the money that i get back from my income tax towards this. I think it would be silly of me to put this on my credit card with the debt that i owe. Atleast if i get some money back from my income tax it wont hurt me as much if i put some of the money towards this than do it now with absolutly no money to spare. Hell i cant even get Keiko a bath. I just hope i can get my income tax money back by the end of March!

Should I start something I might not be able to finish? 2 years ago

I really want to sponsor a child and I can afford it at the moment but I am only employed until April next year and then im not sure what im doing. Can someone tell me, what happens if you lose your job/become unemployed/bankrupt and cannot afford to sponsor your child anymore? I would be worried that I could only afford it for a short while.

I signed up online to sponser someone and ended up with a little boy who’s nine from Malawi. I got a letter sent a little while ago and he had drew little pictures on it, it was really sweet. It seems like a lot of money maybe but I have a job and considering how much people spend on themselves then I think it’s actually not that bad. It’s definitely really rewarding and I would recommend it to everyone.

Becoming a Sponser 3 years ago

For the longest time now I’ve wanted to sponser a child. I always see on tv these children, not just children but all these people in third world countries who are so under priviledged. It really makes me value my own life, but it also makes me feel for them. I saw this thing on tv about a 7 year old little girl who lives on her own in a hut. Her mother died a year ago and she had never met her father. She works for other people in the village in exchange for the things she needs(clothing, food, water, bowls) Everyday she makes trips to the well which is 3km there…and 3 km back. She carries a barell of water on her head that weighs as much as her. She works all day to earn neccesities. She’s only 7! That in itself is inspiring. Things like this happen everyday around the world and we just arent aware of it. At the moment I dont have enough money to be able to sponser a child like I would like to…but I am working on that. The only issue I have, is I dont have alot of faith in humanity. I’m not sure my money will make it to these people in need. I’m not sure my money will make it to them to make a difference.
