How to build a tiki bar
How I did it: I did it on a seriously cheap budget. Salvaged two by fours, a hand saw, a tin of wood stain, 5 woven grass beach mats, a strand of christmas lights, a paper flower garland and ta da! It's a tiny tikibar.
Lessons & tips: Go ahead and do it. In the beginning I thought I'd just paint a tiki bar background...but a friend convinced me I could make a real one. Wow! I so did!

Well, I have the “bar” up – actually a large table with fridge behind. I have my tikis unpacked and banners on the wall.
Still need to work on lighting and knick-knacks.
But it’s getting there.
I found an amazing site that has any supply anyone could ever need to make a tiki bar, check it out:

happy building!
My husband and I decided we would Tiki-fy our den. We want to put in a tiki bar and tiki decor. So far we have a pile of tiki decor in the middle of the room. That is all. We looked at a bar at Sam’s club (too big), Target (recall!) and other (too much $$) so he’s decided he should just make one…
Yep, we have a pile o’ tiki.
